Patient Safety

To our friends and patients,

In these times of uncertainty, Apple Valley Family Dentistry is here to help you like we always have been and always will be. As the impact of COVID-19 continues to unfold, we are keeping in mind the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are continually monitoring recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, along with other state and local officials.

At Apple Valley Family Dentistry, we have always made infection control and prevention a top priority. We meet and exceed disinfection/sterilization protocol and requirements established by OSHA with regards to treatment rooms and equipment. We have also increased sanitization services of our common areas and surfaces throughout the day. For the safety of patients and staff, per CDC guidelines, if a patient presents with symptoms of a respiratory infection or has traveled to a high-risk area, we will postpone non-emergency or elective procedures until a patient is no longer contagious. If urgent treatment is necessary the dentist and medical providers will work together to determine the appropriate precautions on a case-by-case basis to prevent the potential spread of disease among patients, visitors, and staff. Lastly, we want to thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this uncertain time.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dan Proeschel
